My new favorite toy

Today I have to talk about a cool new website I've found!

I came across this site while I was looking for free weather text alerts. I just changed my phone service & now have unlimited texting for a flat rate. I rarely sit down & watch the local news, so I usually have no clue what the weather is. Actually they don't normally know either! Anyway...

This site is AWESOME! I have 1 registration & put my phone & hubby's phone on there. We can sign up for several different alerts for free.

Talk about Tuesday

I have always had the blackest thumb. At the end of summer, Aldi's had these really neat looking houseplants. I caved in & bought 2. Guess what?

They are not only still alive, they are thriving! I have a routine now of watering them until moist every Friday, unless the waffle plant (1st picture) wilts, then I water it right away.

This was a 12" shootoff of my mom's plant when she gave it to me. It gets the same treatment as the other plants because it's another version of the 2nd picture above.

My new cell phone

Not long ago, we decided we needed an extra phone. That would be after we lost my daughter (12) during a misunderstanding over where the school pep club would be. I was seriously close to calling the cops before it was over, but that's a different drama.

I've always been a Tracfone fan. I jumped on the cell phone bandwagon after 9-11 when I found out my grandma was wandering around on vacation over in Pennsylvania. I bought her one for her birthday 2 weeks later! I bought myself one too incase the school needed to reach me. Now my mom, stepdad, grandma, & grandpa each have one. Again I get side-tracked...

The one downside to Tracfone is their customer service. Not once did I ever get someone who spoke clear English. So when my husband talked me into treating myself to a better phone, it was under the condition that he deal with the transfer. I wanted to keep my same phone number.

When we went looking for an extra phone, we couldn't find one like what I already had. The closest we could find was an upgrade. Same phone type, but new one had bluetooth, camera, radio, & other small extras. So again, he had to switch them. We had SO many problems with the transfer this time...I had NO cell phone for 3 days, thankfully they didn't have school those days. I told my husband I would NOT be buying another Tracfone.

Bad customer service = Goodbye customers!

This new "better" phone...it had HORRIBLE reception. The previous phone got coverage EVERYWHERE, but this one would lose coverage while I was sitting still.

After a week of headaches & research, I settled on AT&T Pay as you Go. I rarely talk on my cell, but I text like a fiend. Tracfone was charging me 0.3 of a minute per text, but I found unlimited texting for $20 with AT&T. I checked my tracfone & found that in about 3 months, I'd talked 67 mins, but I had 940 texts.

So here's my new phone.. I LOVE IT!!!

So far, so good. It's cute, I'm having no problems using it. Only thing I'd change is the popup I get after every text telling me my account balance.

Who needs a sewing machine?

I bought some material to make a skirt for my daughter forever ago. It was basically a premade skirt, all I had to do was sew up the seam. But I have issues w/my sewing machine. It doesn't like me. I had Mom come up & help me with it & while she was here, it worked fine. As soon as she left & I tried to use it, it started messing up again. FINE! So while I was in JoAnn's the other day, I bought this fabric glue. So I glued the seam last night & this morning when I got up...it was good to go! So take that stupid sewing machine!

Family time @ the Ballpark

We had so much fun the night we went to the ballgame. DH makes bottles for Anheuser-Busch, so we get 1 set of free tickets to the ballgame per year. I packed 6 bottles of water, 2 bags of peanuts, some sugar-free snacks for ds, the camera & off we went!

The Gateway to the West

We got there early so they could try to catch a ball during batting practice.

And we did!

Our seats were closer than I've ever sat before. We were 5 rows off the field & we were 25 feet from the left fielder. SO much fun...now if they'd have won.

Super Cute Personalized Bag

I got this adorable bag yesterday from my Mother in Law. She works w/infants at a daycare & often gets gifts from their parents.
