Look at these really cute lamps we found for $5 each! I put them on each side of our headboard for reading lamps, but they have frosted shades so it's not so bright & a bendable neck so I can bend mine down close to my book when I'm reading & he's sleeping.
Then my daughter (14) found this adorable lamp to put on the back of her bed because she is always falling asleep with her lights on. Her room doesn't have windows, so it's pitch-black and she doesn't like that, but I think she will sleep better with the lights and tv off. We have compromised on this lamp w/a 40 wt soft bulb.
Plus we got some jeans & other clothes for under $5 on clearance.
